I had quite a productive month this September, so let's see what I read and what I thought of them...
An interesting conclusion to the series.
For the first time ever, the second book in the trilogy is better than the first one.
We return to the modern day, and to a disappointing book. If there is a plot in this book, it has escaped my notice.
This book was a wonderful conclusion to the first half of the series.
The second book in the mortal instruments series sadly suffers from middle book syndrome. It is not as good as the first book, the plot is lacking, and the new characters are boring.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book, having not enjoyed it the first time I read it I did not enjoy it. Several years later, I decided to give it another go and enjoyed it massively.
