Reading Rush TBR

The Reading Rush starts tomorrow, and I thought that it would be a good time to share my TBR with you. I am going to attempt all challenges with no repeats, so wish me luck!

Read a book completely not in your house.

For this challenge, I am going to read Northern Lights by Philip Pullman on audiobook, as my library loan will have arrived by then.

Read a book that inspired a movie you’ve seen.

For this challenge, I only really had one choice! Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith. I love this film and am looking forward to reading the book.

Read a book that takes place on a different continent than yours.

This one is far too easy, that there are far too many options to choose from that it becomes hard! I think for this one, I will start a series that I should be able to read all of across different challenges. I’m going to read The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan, the first book in the Magnus Chase series.

Read a genre that scares you or your least read genre.

This one was quite hard for me, but I think I have decided to read a small book for this one (as my other reads are quite lengthy) but I have been putting it off for so long and think that I am a little intimidated by it, The saga of Gunnlaug Serpantongue.

Read a book that starts with the word “The”.

Continuing the Magnus Chase series in this challenge, I will be reading The Hammer of Thor. I am aware that this is not the strict name of this book in the UK, but it is the name of the US edition and what it is commonly referred to as, so I am counting it.

Read the first book you touch.

For this challenge, I decided to work on my eBook TBR as it hasn’t been getting as much love as my physical tbr lately (or ever as I prefer physical books to ebooks). I created a collection of my unread books that I wanted to read for the reading rush. I picked one at random and it was Golden Blood by Melissa Pearl! For full details on how I did this, watch my TBR video here!

Read a book matching the colour of your birth stone!

As I am born in December, my birthstone is Turquoise (amongst other blue stones) so I will pick the last book in the Magnus Chase series, as my edition has a marvelous blue colour.
