Auto-Buy Authors: Top 10 Tuesday

This is the first time I’ve done one of these, but I thought that I would give it ago. I would also like to add that these authors are in no particular order, and while whenever these authors release a new book, I want to buy it immediately, but often don’t because books are expensive. This idea was created by That Artsy Reader Girl.

1: Rick Riordan

Has he ever written a bad novel? I love his mythology work and while I am very far behind (he writes so fast), I do want to catch up and read all of his mythology books.

2: Marissa Meyer

You may have noticed that I have been reviewing a lot of her books recently, and I love them all. I am so excited to finish reading the renegades trilogy, when they come out.

3: Sarah J. Maas

I have loved all of her books, and think that while her work is often very similar across different series, I like the similarities and am very excited for Crescent City.

4: Jennifer Willson

This relatively unknown author, was someone who I discovered (literally, she was hiding under a table) at YALC last year, through her New World Trilogy (which I need to re-read). If she ever publishes anything else I will buy it immediately.

5: Scott Westerfeld

I don’t think I’ve talked about him much on this blog, but I love the Uglies trilogy and enjoyed Afterworlds. I really need to read Impostors, the first book in a new series set in the Uglies universe.

6: Laini Taylor

I love the Daughter and Smoke and Bone trilogy, which I’ll be re-reading soon. I need to read the Strange the Dreamer duology, and am hoping to pick those up at YALC (if they are there obviously).

7: Anna Day

Last year I read The Fandom by Anna Day and I loved it. I need to read the sequel soon. I love how casual these books are, and am looking forward to her future writing.

8: S.M. Willson

I really enjoyed the Extinction Trials by S.M. Willson, and would eagerly buy any new books that she may have.

9: Leigh Bardugo

I think that the original Grisha Trilogy was a little bit rocky, but as her writing has gotten better over time, I would happily buy any of her future works.

10: Markus Zusak

I adore the Book Thief and I Am the Messenger and am excited to read Bridge of Clay.
